Wasatch Crest Perfection
Scott waste no time picking a tricky line
Solitude in the background
Crest trail is probably the best ride in Utah. it involves a shuttle, start out at 9800' end 26 miles later at 5000'
Ususally it has snow( 8 months out of the year), or is dusty or mud or crowded.
Not on June 28th however. Trail was tacky good grip, no dust, not much mud, and just a few patches of snow(20 feet). The hikers were also not to be seen due to mill creek road being closed.
Epic trail in good condition with a good friend, no crowds, not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.

Local Resident Vow to go off grid by Year 2073
Chester Frantz pledges "to be grid free by the year 2073" Adding over one square feet of solar panels to his roof should generate 10 watts of solar power
"adding 10 watts a year, by the year 2073, I should be completely off the grid, mainly because I will be dead by then"

Solitude Log Riding
Shannon rides a real steep section with trees that appear to not grow straight up. Shannon is getting pretty decent at riding tech single track.
Speaking of trees, when on the ground they make for an interesting alternate route.
Getting on the log
Staying on the log
Getting off the log
Took me 5 tries but finally got it.
Solitude is in perfect shape (pre weekend races, still tacky no dust)

Low Hanging Fruit
Got a Questar (local gas utility co) energy audit. Gave me a nice report. I Found out buying new windows would save me $53.23 a year. Insulating my hot water pipe lines will save me $26.66 a year.
I did some reasearch. Pipe insulation is about $15. windows considerably more. guess which route I went?
